A mysterious phone from Realme has been tearing up the charts over at AnTuTu. Screenshots of the performance of the so-called Realme RMX2071 have started appearing online, with the final benchmark score showing as 574,985 points. In a screenshot provided by Android Authority, if you squint hard enough you can just make out the words “Qualcomm Technologies Inc. SM8250”, which is the new 5G-capable Snapdragon 865 processor.
To put the Realme device’s huge score into perspective, the current leader of AnTuTu’s V8 benchmark table (Android) from December 2019 is the Asus ROG Phone 2 on 506,832 points. That powerful phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ to help speed performance along. Other competitors are also left in the dust: OnePlus 7T – 493,298; Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition – 462,506; Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro – 445,009. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ is well behind on 454,322 points, even with the help of its Exynos 9825 processor. It seems the SD865 is living up to expectations in this particular benchmark at least.
It is not known what name the speedy Realme RMX2071 will eventually bear, but it seems that the most likely candidate is “Realme X50 Pro”, which would make it the higher-specced variant of the recently launched Realme X50 that comes with a Snapdragon 765G chip. Other details about this record-breaking Realme flagship are scant, although there are rumors it could have a punch-hole selfie camera in the top left of the display and may offer buyers the joys of a 120 Hz refresh rate.
